Infinix Hot 8
Do tell, what do you know about Infinix Hot 8? Or what have you heard? In this article you will know or two more things about it. And by the end of it I assure you will have made up your mind on if or not you will be interested in making Infinix Hot 8 your next smartphone.
On this very website you will find other smartphones you could also check out and compare alternatives. phonesarena is Kenya’s undisputed smartphone retail store since you can remember. If you are after quality at the best price then, please, feel right at home. Below is a descriptive review of Infinix Hot 8, a September 2019 smartphone by Infinix.
Design and build
Some design features of Infinix Hot 8 that you will notice straight away include these, that camera(s) set up on be top left corner of the back and the dew drop display on the front. These two will not escape your notice. It will be your joy to hear that the way these two have been pulled adds to the attractive disposition of this plastic build cyan, purple, grey or black smartphone.
There is a fingerprint scanner on the back panel just above Infinix branding. I would say its positioning has been well ensured since it is easy to reach with your preferred unlock finger of choice. I can also report that the volume rocker and power button are on the same side with the latter located below the former.
If you are okay carrying around a 200 g smartphone then this should be a lightweight at just 179 grams: and it is 8.7mm thick.
You will love the display panel here for its field of area. Imagine a 6.52 inches display panel watching your favorite videos, playing your favorite games, texting, browsing whatever it may be. And with its 81.5% screen to body ratio it has been well worked out to ensure you make the most of the panel’s estate.
What some may grumble about is that it is a 720p LCD panel, and I’ll agree with them. But if this is a nonissue then good, go ahead. You will also enjoy the multi touch feature on this smartphone.
Are you a fan of selfies and phone photography? How then does this sound. With the primary camera of Infinix Hot 8 you have three camera lenses working for you. Namely a 13MP, 2MP depth sensor and a QVGA low light sensor. Especially that low light sensor dear reader, just imagine how much good it will do you when there isn’t enough lighting.
I think for this price point, this is a camera phone you will love. Of course nit forgetting its sharp 8MP front facing camera. I must tell you that video recording with the main camera is 1080p@30fps and the selfie camera has an LED flash to help your selfies have that extra touch of spark.
So Infinix Hot 8 has two models of the same phone. Both run Android 9.0 (Pie); XOS 5.0 and have a PowerVR GE8320 GPU but can be told apart by their chipset, CPU and Internal storage with memory- which I will mention respectively with the lesser model first. Choose Mediatek MT6781 Helio A22 or MT6782 Helio P22 chipset with Quad core 2.0 GHz Cortex A53 or 1.8 GHz Cortex A53 CPU.
32GB + 2GB RAM or 64GB + 4GB RAM but both internal storages can be expanded using microSD up to 256 GB (dedicated slot). If I were you, and just for a bearable amount of Kenyan money I would consider the alpha, so to speak, model.
Well, I think the battery performance of Infinix Hot 8 is by far the best of features this phone boasts. I mean, what can beat a 5000 mAh battery capacity? We live in the days of at most 4000 mAh battery capacity, 5000mAh is simply out of this world. Look, for only its battery performance, I would buy this Infinix Hot 8.
